Christmas at Vineyard 2025 — Sawmill Campus

This piece has an interesting origin. Originally conceived as a design direction for Vineyard Columbus' 2024 Beautiful Ordinary Advent campaign, it was ultimately the road not taken — passed over in favor of the linocut pine branch direction. The following year, the illustration found its home when my former supervisor, now Associate Pastor at the Sawmill Campus, repurposed it for their 2025 Christmas campaign.

The botanical illustration — a detailed pine branch with cones — was drawn entirely on the iPad, then brought into the campaign as an invitation, poster, and social media graphics. The watercolor texture and unhurried naturalism give it a quiet, contemplative quality that feels right for the season.

Sometimes the best work takes a year to find its audience.
