sermon series graphic

Created during my time as staff Graphic and Web Designer at Vineyard Columbus, Under Pressure was a sermon series built around the Japanese art of Kintsugi — the practice of repairing broken pottery with gold, treating the fractures as part of the beauty rather than something to hide. The theological parallel is rich: that God can restore broken lives into something even more beautiful than before.

The brief came from the teaching team, and my job was to find a visual language worthy of the concept. I sourced Japanese papers and a Kintsugi-style imagery kit from Creative Market, assembling them into a graphic that feels both ancient and immediate — the gold seams doing the same work in the design that they do in the metaphor.
